This award recognizes members whose hard work on and off the track contribute the spirit of Track Club Los Angeles. The most valuable runner perseveres through difficulties to achieve their goals and set an example for the rest of TCLA.
This award recognizes the TCLA runner who has worked the hardest over the entire year to consistently improve as a runner. The most improved runner is usually the runner who shows up at track, week after week, always working to try a little harder to improve.
Track Club Los Angeles would not be the organization that it is today without the tireless work of our volunteers. The volunteer of the year recognizes the individual who has stepped up to help out in so many ways over the year, and who has made a big difference at TCLA.
The Cahn Mile is an exclusively Track Club LA event. Starting after July, runners begin preparing to challenge themselves in the unique racing distance of 1 mile, run on the track. The Cahn Mile champion is the runner who has tackled the field of the best TCLA runners, and run the fastest mile.
The Max Crispi Award honors the TCLA runner who has made the biggest contribution competing in cross country racing. Cross country running gets runners off the roads, and is the pureset form of running, returning to foot races run across varied terrains, challening runners in ways that a road race does not.
